Caynham Village Hall

The Village Hall (Parish Room) was opened in 1911 and all that was owing on the hall was paid by the many sorrowing friends of the late George B. Charleton Esq. on 14th January 1911, a window in St Mary's Church was also erected to his memory. Over the years many organisations and events have used it, including youth clubs, the Home Guard, the WI, the Mothers Union, The Gardening Club, village socials, whist drives and dances. It has also served as a dining hall and gym for the school and school plays and nativity performances as well as concerts of various kinds have been staged here. It is popular for parties, discos and even wedding receptions, and is currently the venue for Caynham and Ashford Rising Fives, as well as being used several times a week by the school.

The Village Hall Committee manage and maintain the upkeep of the hall, the team is very active and have been responsible for promoting the use of the hall and organising a range of events.
